I am not the reduced image you have dreamed me into being.

And yet, here I stand aproned, slippered-foot, shirt rolled, hands deep—in suds.

My daily ritual begun.

You’d think the monotony would free me

provide the time to contemplate all that comes to me.

But all that comes is
